- Selection of various methods relevant to patterns
- Issues of commercial dyeing and printing (e.g. eco-labels and impact on environment)
- Colourfastness tests relevant to fabric and garment manufacture
- Colour concept
- Colour vision, colour mixing, and colour measurement
