Hong Kong Competitor achieves Excellence at 2024 WorldSkills Competition “Fashion Technology”

The 2024 WorldSkills Lyon concluded successfully from September 10 to 15 in Lyon, France. Hong Kong competitor Helen Tai Hei Lam, distinguished herself in the “Fashion Technology” trade earning a prestigious Medallion for Excellence and bringing honor to Hong Kong.
Known as the “Olympics of Skills,” the WorldSkills Competition is held biennially with the aim of enhancing vocational skills among global youth, fostering international exchange, and promoting vocational training development. This year’s “Fashion Technology” trade attracted competitors from 25 countries and regions.
The Clothing Industry Training Authority was responsible for the screening and training of Hong Kong’s representative. Through a rigorous screening process, ultimately, Helen Tai emerged from CITA’s comprehensive assessment and training program, successfully representing Hong Kong on the international stage.
Helen’s exceptional performance not only showcases her individual talent but also highlights Hong Kong’s prowess in the field of fashion technology.
