The programme aims to equip students with creativity, digital literacy and technical competency for the creation of fashion related products. Through the digital approach of creating fashion design, students will nourish their mindsets encompassing the harmony between creativity and reality.

Programme Objectives

Upon completion of the programme, participants should be able to :

  • Apply various techniques and creativity in fashion design and fashion product with digital technology;
  • Review and analyze the development of global fashion industry;
  • Develop patterns and fashion products which meet the requirements of digital fashion creation; and
  • Present fashion collection and portfolio in a professional manner.

^ Course includes 90 practicum hours

Entry Requirement

  • Applicants are normally required to have either one of the following qualifications:

    • Level 2 in 5 HKDSE subjects (including English and Chinese)^; or

    • Grade E in 1 HKALE A-Level (or an equivalent number of AS) subject(s); and
      (i) 5 passes in HKCEE including English and Chinese*; or
      (ii) 3 passes in HKCEE plus level 2 or above in English and Chinese*; or

    • Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Associate Degree, Diploma or an equivalent programme (at QF level 3);

    • Satisfactory completion of Diploma Yi Jin ; or

    • Other acceptable equivalent qualifications (including non-local qualifications obtained in or outside HK, or other qualifications / experience deemed to be equivalent); or

    • Mature applicants who are 21 years of age or above with a minimum of 3 years’ working experience will also be considered on a case-by-case basis.

    ^Applicants possessing an “Attained”, “Attained with Distinction (I)” and “Attained with Distinction (II)” in HKDSE Applied Learning (ApL) subject are regarded as equivalent to HKDSE subject at “Level 2”, “Level 3” and “Level 4” respectively, with a maximum of two ApL subjects can be counted for admission purpose.

    * A pass in a quality-assured Applied Learning (ApL) subject is deemed to be a pass in one HKCEE subject. (Except Chinese Language and English Language)

    Admission Interview: Applicants will be invited to an admission interview


  • Further Studies

    • Graduates will be eligible for application to the Senior Year Admission of Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Scheme in Fashion and Textiles of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University; or

    • Articulate to Year 2 of Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) in Cinematic Design and Photographic Digital Art offered by OUHK.

    • Graduates can pursue further studies in relevant top-up degree programmes offered by local and overseas universities.

  • Career Prospect

    Graduates may pursue a career as a junior fashion designer, fashion product developer, 3D fashion designer, digital fashion technologist or fashion graphic designer.
