Objective
This course is designed to equip Fashion students with the fundamental skills of 3D garment making and rendering, enables a sustainable approach of Fashion R&D process through the usage of digital assets and AI.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Understand the basic concepts of computer 3D modeling.
- Be familiar with the process of fabric digitization.
- Be familiar with the process of digital garment assembling.
- Be able to manage a digital assets library on a cloud platform.
- Use AI tool to render realistic product photo.
Course Features
This course is aimed for interactive learning. Through lectures, presentations and practice, students will learn the latest 3D CAD software and its applications. In addition, the course will arrange self-study sessions besides of normal class hours, so that students can practice and work at their own pace.
It is composed of two parts:
(1) lecture and project (7 sessions / 21 hours) and
(2) self-practice (3 sessions / 9 hours).
